Isabel Marant and H&M first impression and review

Hello again! I’m back with another post about the Isabel Marant for H&M collection, which launched yeaterday worldwide and online.
My first impression was… wow. I had mixed feelings about it at first, but once you get to see more of the over 100 pieces of the collection The fashionistas went crazy about it, endless queues awaiting for the opening were in front of every shop yesterday. A day after, a lonely blogger starts reviewing the collection.. So here I go! I absolutely adore the ethnic-rock combination that every girl has to have in her wardrobe! This collection has also men and children clothes, and for a bonus of freshness, try mixing the men items with the women items ( thanks Isabel Marant!) . The children collection has the women items, but smaller. I really think that’s not really suitable, but let’s discuss about the women first! The prints are making me think about the Romanian traditions, the fringes of the cowboys and the textures… of rugs. That’s not a bad thing at all, it just makes this collection more unique. Here are just a few of my favorite items:

Probably the most popular item here, the red sweatshirt with a lot of color variations is hot hot hot! This should not miss it, and if I were to pick a single item of the collection, I would have picked this.

This beaded jacket really reminds me of Romanian culture, but it’s another must of the collection.

The leather pants , available in black and white, are a mix between rock and country- two diffrent styles that make good clothes!

I don’t have much to say about this plain tee . It’s the basic thing, stylized here. It’s okay if you don’t want to pay a fortune on a plain white tee but this is a very fashionable one, and you can almost feel Isabel Marant’a style through this.

This is the sweatshirt that reminds me of rugs, but it’s a very cosy piece in late fall!

The essential blazer, created in the finest way.

Last but not the least, these stonewashed jeans complete the rock-themed clothes, created the ethinc way.
What do you think about it? Did you spot something great and suitable for you in this collection?
See you next time. Till then, enjoy the full lookbook here: thanks to vogue
Xoxo Ingrid
